The problem is that Crispin was declared a wolfs head and that means anybody can kill him (Exteral Conflict: character v.s. characters).

He was accused of the murder of the priest (External conflict: character v.s. character)
Had to get passed the guards at the entrance to Great Wexly (Internal conflict: character v.s. himself)
